Mackenzie Zitzer, received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University in May of 2023. She plans to continue her education at the University of Phoenix and is working towards getting her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her ultimate goal is to become a Licensed Professional Counselor and provide Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy to patients who have experienced severe trauma. Mackenzie has 2 years of experience working in the mental health field. Mackenzie worked as an ABA therapist for children on the autism spectrum for the past 2 years. She was a registered behavioral technician that provided in clinic, in home, and in school sessions to children between the ages of 18 months to 10 years old. She was responsible for maintaining and updating the child's behavior intervention plan, taking data on the child's current goals, and managing behaviors at both in home and in school settings. Mackenzie is thrilled to join CalmOCD and be a part of a team that is incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and effective. She recognizes that CalmOCD takes the time to get to know each client individually and is incredibly flexible with their client's schedules, needs, and treatment. She is excited to be a part of the healing process and can't wait to work alongside many incredible therapists. Mackenzie is eager to learn and grow at CalmOCD and expand her knowledge on mental health.
At CalmOCD we treat individuals ages 5 and up with obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, eating disorders, panic disorder, agoraphobia, phobias, misophonia, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), and co-occurring depression.
