WHO WE ARE

About CalmOCD

Fear is where growth occurs!

Oftentimes new patients are fearful to start Exposure Response Prevention; however, once they see the difference it makes in their lives, they are grateful they engaged in the treatment. At CalmOCD in Sandy and Salt Lake, UT our goal is to help patients face the things they have been avoiding (avoidance of triggers is the most common compulsion), and help our patients gain insight into what compulsions are fueling their OCD and how to start resisting them. We provide education on knowing how to respond to intrusive thoughts and how to be prepared to handle new things that pop up for them. Our practice focuses on the Response Prevention part of exposure work (resisting the compulsive behavior), as this is the most important part!
